What's involved
Getting lots of flowers in your garden may be easier than you think. I can get more flowers in your outdoor space thanks to inside knowledge of the plant world and plants’ natural ability to reproduce readily.
At the right time of year I'm happy to take cuttings of your favourite flowers and plant these cuttings separately to create lots of baby plants with the potential to flourish.
I also love to lift leafy plants out of the ground in autumn, separate the plants into sections (know as division), then pop them in different parts of the garden to maximum effect.

How we work
Spring
The time of year to sow seeds and take softwood cuttings to create more of your favourite flowers, cheaper and more efficiently. You'll often see me in spring with secateurs in hand and a small bag ready to collect healthy cuttings for planting.
Summer
Once summer arrives I can take more cuttings for more plants, including fuchsias and a whole range of annual flowers. Plants germinated from seeds back in spring are ready to pop in the garden now too.
Autumn
When we get into autumn many perennials are ready to be lifted out of the ground cleaned up and split into sections. Splitting perennials like this invigorates them and helps you fill more spaces in your flower beds.
Winter
You can keep little cuttings surviving even the coldest months with a little heat from the greenhouse or on a windowsill in the kitchen. Winter’s also an excellent time to take stock and plan for next year.
Of course there's plenty of opportunity to get more plants from the garden centre or the nursery. It's just you can watch your pennies when you can use nature to get you more flowers and handsome shrubs to adorn your outdoor space.
I'm happy to give you lots of advice on how to sow seeds and when best to sow them for healthy and productive plants. This goes for your favourite annuals which you love to see in the summer as well as tasty and pungent herbs like rosemary, thyme and mint.
